If you have been working on a lot of projects and getting the urge to sell them, here’s some things I would try to do.
Check out the local craft fairs
These are a great way to introduce your brand to the community, as well as make a couple of bucks. They require A LOT of work though so make sure you’re prepared. If you’re not sure where to find one, you can check it out here.
Small Businesses and Yarn Shops
If you have a boutique in your town that sells some unique gifts or handmade items, make a look book of your best items, or simply just bring them in and show them to the owner of the store. This might be nerve-racking, but remember at one point they were in your shoes. Just be confident in yourself and your work, after all you’ll never know if you don’t try!
If you have a blog, then you should already be promoting your items on your page. If you don’t like blogging or don’t plan on starting one, I would reach out to some bloggers you may know or ones that are in your town and ask if they’d be interested in featuring a post about you and your work. I haven’t really done this so I’m not too sure how it would work out, worth a shot though, right?!
Start an Etsy
I figured this was self explanatory. Etsy is a great way to have an online shop and create a space for people everywhere to shop your items, but you’re not going to make your sales right away. It takes a lot of work and you might even have to put in some extra cash to receive some sales. Make a game plan and make sure you’re prepared to handle any situation.
Peace out Y’all!
