Creative Business Talk
Today is a post I wanted to create for a while and I decided to just do it. I was trying to make it all perfect and the truth is, there is no such thing as perfect. Especially when it comes to running or starting a creative business. So whether you have a creative business or are thinking about it, you’ll find some thoughts and pieces of advice below. I hope you love!
Finding Your Niche
The internet is one of the most amazing and connective forms of technology we have created. It is through this that we can literally build a brand of anything. Find your niche on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, – all of the above!
Once you find your niche on the internet, interact with them. While you’re interacting it is important to observe habits, practices, trends and things you like. For example. on Instagram, I love watching videos of people knitting or crocheting. I also love great photos with different textures and layers, which is something I am trying to get into. Learning is always the best option, especially if you’re not ready to get into business yourself yet.
Once you found your niche, create content. Specifically I would focus on creating content that doesn’t already exist. Whether it’s a quick instagram video or Periscope lesson, be different.
Having the content will make readers and viewers come back to you, which is what you want. You are already building interaction with your niche, and growing your content should be easy and fun.
Finally, this is the most important part. You must, must, must have patience. If you don’t none of this will work. The internet is hard to make a living off of, trust me, I know. Even the rarest niche is saturated with content, and you have to get yours out there. For this to happen it takes time. Which is okay, right? It’s hard to wait, but it’s worth it I promise!
If you have a creative business I’d love to follow it – put it in the comments below for me and everyone to see!
