Happy Monday Guys!
Okay, so, nobody likes Monday’s, but any day is enjoyable when you do something you love, right?! Making time for something you love is important for your psyche but also your craft. Practice might not make perfect, but without it you won’t ever progress.
I believe there are two things you need to make time for in your day – your health and your soul. Find two things that make you happy and that you look forward to and then it wont feel like work.
Pencil It In
You need to pencil in your crafting time for yourself. For me, I physically put it into my planner. I don’t know why but I just know that if I don’t write it down I’ll forget it. Crazy, huh?
Plus there’s nothing better than crossing something off your list!
Now, I realize people have families, work crazy hours, have school etc. and they let their lives get in the way of themselves. It happens to everyone but all you need to know is that you’re no good to anyone if you’re not happy. Whether it’s 10 minutes or an hour, you’ll be happier and eventually progress your crafting into something you probably never thought was possible!
Group Work
Hopefully you have a close knit group of friends that would LOVE to craft together (see what I did there?!). Maybe you don’t have to spend a Friday night knitting or crocheting (I do), but why not a night in the middle of the week?! Watch some Housewives, a little bit of wine, cheesecake – sounds perfect! Plus, you may pick up a thing or two from your friends!

Twitter Hangout!
If your friends don’t craft, and if they don’t craft then they’re no friend of mine (alright I’m done with the cheese fest). If that’s the case, don’t worry I have the answer for you! I will be leading a Twitter hangout once a week for an hour, or more depending, where we can all connect, share pics, give advice, and just hangout together ! We’ll be using the hashtag #1001knitshang and should start 1/28/15 at around 7 O’clock.
Let’s Talk
So, how do you hold yourself accountable and make time for your craft? Let us know on Wednesday!!
