How To Pack Like A Pro
Since I was traveling last week and super on the go, I thought I would share how to pack like a pro. As a self proclaimed amazing packer, I think this post might be helpful for what to bring on your next trip.
Less is More
So, I know that for many people they get anxiety as to what to bring with them on their trips because they want to make sure they will have enough on their trip and “options.” Here are my thoughts on that…
I bring an outfit for every day but I use repeat items like pants/jeans or light items like leggings. and then I will have an alternate option top. So really, I have 2-3 pairs of jeans and some leggings and then a bunch of tops. This way I can mix night and day just with other items that don’t take up a lot of space.
We all have this feeling of “this is nothing !” when we pack, and inevitably the “what if…” start creeping up and up. Let’s be practical though. When I packed for my road trip I knew that the weather wasn’t going to be that much different than where I live. I knew I needed some layers because I was not going to be wearing my big puffy coat around (although, it wouldn’t have been a terrible idea haha). So for this type of trip I decided to bring long sleeves, zip ups and my leather jacket as well as a scarf. This way I could layer up !
Roll Your Clothes
I love rolling my clothes, especially if they are light summer clothes. However, for this trip I brought some sweaters and heavier things. For this I believe in laying them flat. this way they take up the least amount of space. If you were to look in my bag you would see that there was a bottom layer of clothes flat folded and then on top were my rolled clothes.
Make A List
You should make a list of things you need. Like really need…chargers, toothbrush etc. and make sure you pack those. I have a travel toothbrush and extra chargers that i can take with me on my trips so I always pack those first, that way I don’t need to remember anything the day of when I am usually frantic AF.
So what are some things that you like to bring with you and pack ? Do you over pack ?
