Recovering After The Holidays
I know that as crafters, the holidays can be a tough time. We’re always weaving in ends, finishing projects and so much more. So I figured that I would make this post to help us all relax and hopefully start recovering after the holidays.
Time For Yourself
I make sure to take some time for myself. I want to destress, watch a movie and maybe read a good book. Gosh, it’s been so long since I’ve read a book for myself…I am sooo looking forward to doing just that. I also think it’s really important to give yourself time as often as you can. Take a bath, read a book, go shopping, go on a nice walk…just something you think can rejuvenate you.
The next thing I do is reminisce. I like to look back on what worked, what didn’t. Was there anything that caused stress that you can eliminate next year? Try to figure those things out before hand so that you can work on improving the process for the future.
Take a Break
Sometimes taking a break is the most important thing in rejuvenating yourself. For me, I don’t do this enough. I actually love knitting and crocheting to de-stress. But because I do this for my blog as well as for myself, I never really take a break. I want to take a week off and see if my creative juices start flowing !
I like to organize my yarns and hooks and needles every now and then. This helps me know what I have, and I get to see what yarns I have and get some projects ready.
