Put down the hook, put down the needles, unplug the sewing machine, log off Pinterest – the holidays are over, you made it! Yesss!!
So, now are you going to do with yourself? Use this time before the new year to relax. Remind yourself how to watch TV, do some Yoga to help those aching shoulders, take a long bath- whatever it you do to calm yourself, do it.
This is always tough for me, when I’m stressed about something I usually crochet or knit, but sometimes it gets to the point where I can’t even look at yarn anymore. If your holiday prep was mostly crafting, I think it’s a good idea to spend some time apart, don’t you?
It’s only temporary, and I’m sure your friends and family will love seeing you without pieces of yarn stuck to your clothing.
The holidays are about being close to the ones you love, but New Years is about reminiscing on the past and preparing for the future. Ease your mind and think about what you want to achieve in 2015. Afterall, if you don’t take care of yourself, your work will refelct that.
