Shibui Knits Yarn Review and Giveaway!
Today’s post is brought to you by Shibui Knits, While the yarn was provided to me, all opinions are my own! I will review the yarn and then make sure you read the end of the post because you will have a chance to win your own yarn kit from Shibui knits!
Shibui Knits sent over some of their new Reed yarn. This yarn is a linen yarn that is a fingering weight and it is divine! The description on their website says
“Supple and soft, Reed is a smooth linen chainette that flows easily across the needles for graceful garments and accessories.”
And that is exactly how I would describe this yarn. It’s perfect! I couldn’t figure out what to do right away but I knew I wanted to crochet something that is airy, open and flowy. So I am working on something that is just that and the yarn is holding up so nicely.
Sometime’s I feel that linen yarns are too stiff to work with. Well, I mean that is kind of the point of linen yarns but that’s not my favorite part. I like my work to flow and spread nicely when I wear it. So this is great yarn for that.
I also like that this yarn isn’t too soft. It’s really great to work with. Sometimes I find that when yarn is too soft it pills and slips too much and I just don’t always love it. I like when the yarn is a little rough and tougher because it holds up better.
So if you are in the market for some linen yarn, I would highly suggest the Reed Yarn from Shibui Knits. Keep reading for a chance to get your own!
