The Simple Life and Quilt Giveaway!
Good Morning Crafters!
The day is getting a little shorter, the morning air is becoming more crisp and summer is coming to an end. sigh. But do you know what else that means? It’s almost fall! wooohooo! I just love New England’s fall time, it’s so picturesque, maybe I’ll use my new camera to take some fancy photos… 😉
So I’m not sure if you remember, but I’m a self proclaimed yarn-hoarder, but my yarn is organized and color coded so it’s not that bad…right? Probably not, but whatever.
I haven’t bought yarn since April, do you know what that means? FOUR MONTHS OF NOTHING! I would only buy yarn when I would run out and needed more to work on a project. Why am I telling you this, because I have finally consolidated my yarn into one bag of projects, and one trunk of yarn. This is a huge feat for me, I don’t really remember the last time I wasn’t hiding my yarn in really weird places or stuffing it in bags and making it fit in my trunk.
Why am I telling you this? I think living simply is something many of us take for granted. Here’s something I realized, I always felt guilty when I would buy yarn, not because I was spending a lot of money, but because I had so much I didn’t even know what I had. Now, when I go to a local yarn store or Michael’s I appreciate the different types of yarn, the great colors and color schemes…I’m like a kid in a candy shop and I love it.
