Sorry for falling off the face of the Earth, again. I’ve been busy every since the holidays, and things are finally starting to wind down, finally!
Let me fill you in on some things I was up to while I was absent.
I took a trip to Israel!
Just cause I was on vacation doesn’t mean I didn’t craft! On the plane ride there, I made a scarf. I was going to give it to my friend as a holiday present, but it was surprisingly very cold in Israel and I ended up wearing it myself. I can’t remember the last time I made something for myself. Usually I end up giving it to someone, or my mother and sister “borrow” it.
While on my tour, it was hard to sneak in crochet time because I was so EXHAUSTED at the end of the day, but that does not mean it wasn’t on my mind, a lot. We went to this shuk, or marketplace, and they had this little ittle bitty shop that was full of YARN. So, I bought myself a present. A beautiful skein of cashmere blend multi colored yarn. LOVE IT. Please give me some suggestions as to what I should make out of it, I’d love your input!
Also, one of my friends on the tour bought some yarn for me to make her something, so I made her a scarf and an ear warmer, and I still had some yarn left, so I made another ear warmer for her sister!
Once I got back, and after the jet lag wore off, I had to get back into work mode and now that I am back to a reasonable schedule I can post more, and more importantly knit and crochet more!
Here’s a couple of pictures of the stuff I’ve made while I was gone…
This isn’t a scarf, it’s an organizer! How did I make it? well I crocheted a scarf, and then I had a couple extra granny squares so I sewed them on as pockets! It’s the perfect gift to give to someone who doesn’t want any more of your scarves or hats
This is the first hat I knit, ever. I am absolutely in love with it! It wasn’t difficult and I am obsessed with it. I learned some things that will make it fit better, but I still think it’s a great first attempt. What do you guys think?
So, on this lovely snow day I will try and make some more things and keep you posted.
Keep on crafting!
