I Spent $100 On A Sports Bra
A little different type of post today…I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the new Enlite sports bra by Lululemon. I know a lot of my readers are interested in yoga and health and fitness so I thought I would give you my thoughts!
My Body Type
I am about 5 ft 3 with a small waist but a large bust. So, it’s hard for me to find bras that I like, much less sports bras that I like. When I find something I usually stick with it. Below are a few of my favorites.
I usually get full coverage, maximum support bras because they help control my bust and I feel secure and supported. I like a tighter fit, but sometimes if I am just doing weight training I can get away with a medium support bra.
My Lululemon Experience
I have never actually bought a bra from Lululemon because I think they only offer one other bra for my size (34E). I also read about how their quality has gone down over the past few years so I am careful about what I get. I have a pair of the high waist Wunder Unders in the short and in the full legging. I am a size 6 and they are great!
I have never tried their bras so this was a first for me.
But I have seen this Lululemon bra everywhere and I read quite a bit of the reviews on it. Part of me was like “are you crazy?! $100 for a bra?!” and the other part of me was like “you know you want it”
It’s hard enough to find a bra that is supportive, wicking and works for me. But it’s almost impossible to find a cute one in my size. And the enlite bra is really pretty! So, I went for it. The other issue is the stores don’t always carry my size and a 32E is unavailable online.
there is no wire. Which made me hesitant at first because what’s going to support me?
It’s a racerback bra but has two sets of straps which is what I think hold you in so well. The clasp is kinda tricky at first but I got used to it. Once I put it on I knew it was going to be good. Each boob had it’s own cup so I didn’t have that uniboob effect. My nipples didn’t poke through and the straps laid flat on me and didn’t ride into my shoulders and they were super thin. It’s kind of wild and blows my mind if I am being honest
Now the question we’ve all been waiting for – how does it perform.
I wore this bra when I had a training session. I got to the gym early and I usually go on the treadmill so I did just that and did sprints. I wouldn’t say that there was zero jiggle, but I definitely didn’t feel unsupported or uncomfortable. I don’t think you need to eliminate jiggle because hello – we’re women and we have boobs it’s normal! haha
I went straight into my training session which consists of weights, cardio, endurance, unicorn tears, real tears. (Hahaha Pete I hope you’re not reading this!)
I didn’t feel weird at all ! I felt supported and wasn’t self conscious. It was a great feeling!
I love this bra! I will say that it’s a little bigger than I thought and I could probably go with a 32E instead of 34. The color is great, the fit is nice. If you have the money and are in need of a new sports bra then I would definitely say go for it! If not, maybe they will have this bra in different colors or what not and have some sales. Definitely check it out!
Update: I wanted to buy more of the Enlite bra because I loved it so much, but they are sold out online and in my store. However, I sent a quick tweet out to the company asking if they were planning to restock the size and add more colors. Lululemon got back to me very quickly and found my size for me in a new color. So, while this bra is not cheap, the companies attention to their customers really adds their value for me.
