Twist Knot Headband Pattern
This weeks pattern is an easy peasy knitting pattern that anyone can do! If you are in need of making something quick and easy this is the perfect pattern for you. Also, if you’re like me and woke up with unexpected snow, you can whip this up before you get into work.
Cast on 18 stitches using two yarns.
I used the metallic patons yarn in metallic black and metallic teal…but you can use any yarns you like!
Using two yarns at once allows me to get this marled effect, but it also allows me to use up my yarns…win !
stockinette stitch until piece measures 5-6 inches depending on size of head and if there is any stretch in the yarn I would stick to 5 inches.
Slip 9 stitches on to DPN’s.
Continue the stockinette stitch for another inch.
Knit the 9 stitches the remain on the original needles, then bring the stitches on the DPN’s to the front and knit them off . This is the twist knot that we are trying to achieve.
Purl each stitch across.
Continue with stockinette stitch until piece is a total of 10-12 inches long, cast off.
Sew ends together and voila !
