I hope everything is going well and that you’re relaxing right before the holidays.
HA! Just kidding, it’s gift wrapping time which is the worst part if you ask me. I hate tape, I hate cutting gift wrap, I hate folding it and trying to make it look good because no matter how hard I try it just doesn’t. I think it happened twice. maybe.
Anyway, I thought I would share some unique gift wrapping ideas if you’re like me and want to just skip the wrapping paper.
I saw this once and I thought it was so cute, especially if you are going to give a gift to a writer, book lover or reader. It adds a little bit of shabby chic to the gift. Tie it with some twine or hemp and you have got yourself a great and easy gift wrap!
Note: if you are gifting clothes or anything white, I would not suggest this method.
A little spin-0ff of the newspaper idea, but if you’re giving a gag gift or a gift for someone funny, I think this would be perfect. Who doesn’t love the comic section?!
I mean nothing says gift giving quite like bows, in my opinion. When in doubt just stick a bow on it. Wrap your gift in anything, brown bags, newspaper, or colored paper and put a bow on it.
If you’re not trying to give the element of surprise and you’re giving a scarf or a something you can easily fold, or just needles and wrap it in a bow like above.
Here’s a bunch of patterns for all types of bows!
Note: Do not use glitter -biggest mistake of my life.
This is my favorite! I always keep tissue paper , It’s crazy how expensive that shiz can be. I like to layer it up, wrap it, and tape it and then place a bow or tie it with twine so you can’t really see the tape.
Feel free, and if you’re giving me a gift, to put a bow on it. I. Love. Bows, clearly.
