Yesterday was a rough one for me. If you follow me on Twitter you saw my “woe is me” tweets. I hate doing that, but sometimes when you have a bad day you just can’t shake it. Or can you?
When It Rains It Pours
I woke up late. My throat was scratchy, again. Didn’t have time to make my lunch so I decided I would just pick up a salad, no biggie. Went to go get a chai, thinking it would be good for my throat. Got to work late, placed my chai and my bag on my desk went to sit down, but my purse had gotten caught on my belt and knocked over the chai everywhere, breaking my ceramic mug as well. (Editor’s note: I now find this extremely comical looking back on it, ha!). I had meeting after meeting, e-mail after e-mail and I felt like I couldn’t catch a break! I was just counting down the minutes to get out of work, watch I am Cait on DVR and then head to dinner with my best friends.
Guess what? The work day finished, I got home, headed to dinner and my friend was wearing an adorable tank top that said “No Bad Days.” I chuckled and stated “well you haven’t had a day like mine..” she responded and said
“It’s impossible to have a bad day. A day is 24 hours, filled with minutes and seconds. It is impossible that every minute of your day was bad, you’re here and you’re happy and having fun with us, so your day wasn’t bad, your couple of minutes were”
She was right, like absolutely 100% right. Looking back on it my day wasn’t bad at all. Yea, I didn’t get to edit my video for you guys, or do some things I had planned and things might not have gone as planned, but that’s okay. I’m alive, I can laugh, have fun and I can create.
So remember, there are no bad days – leave me a comment about something GOOD in your day so far or that you’re looking forward to.
