Lately I have been feeling a little unmotivated and blah. There isn’t really a reason for it, maybe a little bout of depression, maybe just that the weather has been raining non stop. Either way, there are a few things that I do to get me out of my lack luster mood.
Try Something New
Just in general I try to push myself into trying something new. Especially if I am not feeling myself I find that trying something new allows me the ability to meet new people and just get inspired from that. One thing I recently signed up for was CycleBar – what a sweat!
Get Off Social Media
Because I have been in this funk recently, I have also taken a step back from social media. Usually I use it as a platform to inspire myself, but recently I have been comparing myself to others. Something I want to write about in the next couple of weeks. So I have offloaded some of my social media apps for the time being.
Learn Something New
I have recently signed up for two new newsletters – the Tim Ferris 5 bullet Friday and The Hustle. Both of which I highly recommend. If you know me then you know I hate having e-mails, so the fact that the tim ferris e-mail is only once a week is great for me. I enjoy his podcast so I like this quick format of an e-mail as well.
The hustle is one that has really inspired me. It’s a daily e-mail that gives you small tidbits of information about almost anything. I have used these e-mails to spark conversation with new people, kept some of these fun facts for myself. I have also read these e-mails and been genuinely interested in some of the items that I look into them further on my own time.
