If you’ve followed me around on Instagram (and you should!) Then you might have seen I took a few day trip to Austin and San Antonio! I thought I would recap the trip for you in case you anyone was looking to travel. Also, where should we go next?
We stayed in Austin first at the Fairmont hotel. Man! This place was nice AF. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice hotel to stay at. The pool area was great and the service and food was impeccable. I am already looking for an excuse to go there again!
Things We Did
Our first night we got lucky and got the last tickets to a Schitt’s Creek Behind The Scenes look with the whole cast. It was awesome and SO funny.
The next day was a nice day where we went tubing down the river. It was a long day but relaxing and beautiful. Actually, at one point I had to swim against the currant to get our bag of drinks…but besides that it was so fun! That night we went to a restaurant called Moonshine and again, the food was amazing. We also bar hopped on Rainey street which….was an experience but I don’t think I’d go back next time.
Our last morning in Austin we went to a great restaurant for brunch called Snooze, it’s kind of outside the main area but it’s one of those great places that locals go to.
After that we got our bags and took a bus to San Antonio. Here, we stayed at Hotel Contessa. A cute little hotel right on the riverwalk. We walked up and down the river walk, got some Ice Cream (oh my god, the ice cream was to die for, you need to stop at Blue Bell if you’re ever in the area.
San Antonio was cool because you can do so much just through the Riverwalk, it’s like a little piece of Europe in the south.
San Antonio was a different vibe from Austin, a little bit ore relaxed and a little less fancy. We had some not so nice weather so I think that had a lot to do with it as well.
We did Indoor Sky Diving on one day and woww! I am ready for the real thing, maybe. We ended our stay in San Antonio with a trip to the mall, and then another trip to the Pearl District and walked around that area. It was so cute and reminded me of my college campus!
Where should our next adventure be?! Did I miss anything in Austin/San Antonio that I need to do when I go back?
