Finger crochet is something I got into last year. I taught it randomly because the store called me saying “hey do you know how to finger crochet?” and I said yes…well. I didn’t, but I learned quickly and so can you if you want !
I made this video tutorial for you below.
I like finger crochet because you can use any type of yarn, you can be a knitter or crocheter, young or old, and it’s just an easy thing to learn! I also love how different finger crochet looks with different weights of yarn. For the spring time I love crocheting with thinner yarn and creating a really loose and airy piece, and when you use chunky yarn it works great if you don’t have a big ‘ol crochet hook on hand. You can use, well your hands.
Finger Crochet Skinny Scarf
I ended up making a skinny scarf with these two yarns I was gifted by my coworker (so sweet!). I had plenty of yarn to use for something else, which is another great thing about this technique! It works up quickly and you can use scraps that you have. Perfect!
What are you planning on making? Tag me on Instagram and use the hashtag #1001creative so I can make sure to like your work and we can connect !
