Easy Lace Knit Mini Shawl – Pattern
This weeks pattern is one that I whipped up on a whim. I have never really knit a triangle shawl before, but this pattern was easy, repetitive and works up quickly which is always enjoyable! Here is an easy lace knit mini shawl pattern for you to try! Hope you love !
This yarn is great squishy cotton that is also vegan and and dyed. The speckel effect is so nice and unique. I just love the way this yarn works with this pattern! Of course, as with all my patterns, you can use any yarn that you have on hand. This pattern specifically can be worked with every yarn and would still loo great in my opinion.
Aside from the yarn, obviously, you will need knitting needles appropriate for your yarn. I went with 9.5 mm connected needles. You will also need a stitch marker. I don’t usually use these so please trust me when I say this – you need it, haha.
Cast On 3 stiches
Row 1: Knit 1, Yarn Over (YO), place marker, Knit 1, Yarn Over, Knit 1
Row 2 and all even numbered rows (or wrong side) – Knit all stitches
Row 3: K1, YO, K to marker, YO, Slip marker, K1, YO, K to last stitch, YO, K1.
Repeat rows 2-3 until you get your desired triangle length.
The last row: K1, *yo, knit 2 together. Repeat * to last stitch, k1.
Block your work – I steamed mine and it worked well! Weave in ends and you’re all set !
Make It Your Own
I used one skein of yarn for this project and got a really nice size for a mini shawl. If you want a larger shawl I would grab two skeins of yarn and you should have plenty of yarn to make a nice large shawl.
