Knit Shrug With Bow Pattern
Today’s pattern is an easy knit pattern that any skill level can make and I think it’s the perfect accessory for this time of year ! I whipped this knit shrug pattern up quickly and then added a bow to bring it to life.
A few weeks back my best friend texted me asking if I could make a shawl for her and other bridesmaids for her cousins wedding. She showed me some photos from Etsy and Pinterest and I knew they were easy patterns, I just didn’t really like how they looked with the fabulous dresses. It looked very grandma-esque with a nice gown….I don’t know, it didn’t look that good.
So, I told my friend that I would do it, but I want to test some yarns and then go into the colors. She didn’t mind so I went to my stash, saw some stuff, then went to the yarn store and picked up this yarn.
I was immediately drawn to the color and the metallicness of the yarn. It also is a really cool color, some times it looks mauve, sometimes it looks grey, it’s a unique color and I love it and the other colors in this line. Highly recommend !
So, I whipped this up and then showed it to her and she loved it. Then life happened and I was all stresed out so I asked when she needed them done by and she said “Its not going to be cold ! We don’t need them !”
As much as I love making thing for people’s special days, and my for my friends and family…I was so happy to not have to rush and make them in a time crunch. It was a load lifted off of my shoulders and I think thats why I really love this shrug!
I told you this was easy so get ready…its a Garter stitch. If you don’t know what that means it juts means each row is a knit stitch. Easy Peasy !
Cast On 36 Stitches
Row 1: Knit each stitch across
Row 2: Knit in first 4 stitches, yo k2together, repeat sequence to end of row.
Row 3: Knit in each stitch across.
Continue this forever LOL. Kidding, but you’re just going to knit until you have it long enough to wrap around you. This is going to be different for everyone because some people have wider shoulders, or larger busts or if you’re me, narrow shoulders and a large bust.
Then you’re going to repeat row 2. Then Knit one row and finally, cast off.
Lace the Bow Through
And you’re done ! Hope you love and show me your own versions of this !
