Patons Metallic Yarn Review
Today’s post is an unsponsored review of some yarn I picked up a few weeks ago. I think it’s important to have a place where you can go and trust the opinions. I absolutely love watching makeup reviews, my favorite is Tati Westbrook, so I want to see how this goes ! Keep reading if you want to read more about the Patons Metallic Yarn Review!
The Color Range
I picked up this yarn at Michael’s and there was an okay color selection. Then I went online and I found out there are actually 12 shades which I think is really good! I think I might scoop up the metallic green shade, that is my favorite color when it comes to the fall!
The colors I bought were Blue Steel (best name ever!), Metallic black and Metallic Teal.
So, the colors, I love them. The Yarn, I think depends on the color. At this point I have tried the three colors I bought and they are good yarns. The pilling is minimal and it is not too stranded where you get in between each strand, you know what I mean? So overall I think this yarn is great and unique!
The weird thing is, and it might just be my yarn, but the black metallic yarn was weird. It kind of changed weight in certain spots which made my work look like I don’t know what a gauge is. That didn’t happen with any of the other colors, but just something to look out for.
The Yarn is priced at $6. Which I don’t think is bad. It’s a better quality yarn and it’s unique. So to me this is great. Plus since you can find it at Michael’s you can find coupons to make them even more affordable!
Overall Grade: A-
I give this yarn a grade of A- because the metallic black yarn through me off. It’s inconsistency is a warning to me that it might happen with other colors or that it might be an issue specific to the black color. Besides that I think this yarn is a great buy and I would love to use it in the winter months!
