I am setting my 2019 goals and I thought that I would share them with you. But, I also wanted to just talk about goal setting, the importance of it, and some skills that might help you achieve your goals.
- Take 1001Knits to being even MORE
- At least 5 craft shows this year
- Begin selling Custom Orders more frequently before Q2.
- Add more content, and something new 😉
- Post regularly on all platforms – Facebook, Instagram, the Blog and YouTube
- Teach more, and often !
Might not seem like a lot, but I know I have so much work to do. The first one is actually not a good goal because it’s not specific and has no time frame or direction. But…I know what the “MORE” means to me…so I will just have to work on that my self and you will just have to trust me 🙂
My next goals are better because they’re specific, measurable, attainable (hopefully…ha), relevant and Timely. They’re called SMART goals and there is a lot of research and articles you can read about them and how to set them and more. I use these for my work goals, but they’ve been helpful for my personal goals as well.
Tips On Setting Goals
The most thing to me about goal setting is making sure that your goals are visible.
It has actually been proven that the more often you see your goals, the better chances you have at achieving them. So write your goals and look at them often.
Your goals have to be realistic and not something completely unattainable. If they are too wild, you’re going to discourage yourself and give up. That being said, goals require work and effort and planning.
If you need some reference, I’ve talked about goal setting before if you need some inspiration
What are your goals for 2019 and what are you going to do to achieve them! I wish you nothing but the best for this year and together we can achieve all of our goals.
