If you remember in the New Year I posted my intentions and the things I wanted to work on both professionally and personally. I thought that I would hold myself accountable and dive deeper into what I this will be and introduce you to the new 1001knits
I had the pleasure of having a conversation with Sharon from Right Brain PR from about PR and what it is I really need to be doing to achieve all of my goals. One thing she said was that I should focus on my newsletter, which has basically been dormant. That is about to change – big time! Not only will I be sending more consistent newsletters, but I will also be offering new free patterns and sending them to those of you on the newsletter, so make sure you sign up here!
I don’t really know what I was thinking, because I use ravelry all the time for my personal use, but I never used it for 1001knits. That is about to change. I will be making sure all my patterns are available on there and even my LookBook. So, make sure you follow me on there so you don’t miss anything!
Building a Presence
I want to create a personal aspect of the blog and one way that I will achieve that is by building more of a presence. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook are all great and I love them all, but building a community presence is just as important for me. So if you are in CT or the Northeast – contact me! Some ideas that I have are just casual meetups and teach. You and a bunch of your friends can just sit and learn to knit, crochet, or just craft! It’s fun, laid back and you will walk away with a new skill you can use in so many different ways.

This is something that I have to think about more and develop. When I worked with Warm Up! America I had such a smile on my face and full heart for the rest of the day that I have been trying to think about what I can do to give back to my community and others, please let me know if you have any ideas!
