Triangle Block Scarf – Crochet Pattern
This weeks patterns is a crochet scarf that is perfect for spring! It uses Reed yarn that was sent to me by Shibui Knits. Oh Yea! If you haven’t entered already, make sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win your own yarn kit! The Triangle Block scarf is ready to be made!
Well, as you already know, I used the Reed yarn from Shibui Knits with an E hook. The colors I used were velvet and ash. The colors are beautiful and I just can’t get over how well they look together!
So, here is my official review of the yarn and make sure to enter to win the giveaway! This yarn is perfect and I think this pattern really showcased how it can be used.
With color A (velvet) chain 6, sl st into first chain to create a circle.
Row 1: ch 1, 4 sc in the circle, ch 1 turn,
Row 2: 2 sc in first stitch, one sc in next two stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 4 turn.
Row 3: *Skip the first stitch, DC in next chain, ch1, Repeat from * all the way across, ch 1, turn.
Row 4: 2 sc in each ch1 space from previous row, ch 1, turn.
Row 5: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in each stitch until last stitch, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 4, turn.
Continue increasing in this manner by repeating rows 3-5. Repeat until there are 18 DC posts.
Change to color B.
For this block we will no longer be increasing. you will still repeat row 3-5 but row 5 will go like this..
Row 5: sc in each stitch, ch 4, turn.
Continue this 18 times.
Make another increasing row with the velvet color and sew together.
The Final Product
I love this airy scarf. It’s flowy and the linen yarn really holds up nicely.
