It has been officially 11 weeks since I have been working from home and quarantining. Surprisingly, I have been really lucky and found that staying fit in quarantine is a little easier than I thought. There is one thing that I can confidently say is what’s motivated me to stay active. The apple watch. I bet you thought I was going to say Peloton…We ain’t there yet fam haha.
The Apple Watch
I’ve had my apple watch for 3-4 years now. It’s nothing fancy, I believe it’s the series 1, so I don’t have GPS or anything like that, but I don’t need it for these competitions which is great
What is an apple watch competition? Basically you have share your data with someone who also has an apple watch (again, doesn’t matter what series) and you can start a competition. They last for one week at a time and work on a points system. The more you excercise, move, and stand the more points you can get and you max out at 600 points per day.
My goal is to do the most I can and I try really hard to get 600 points. Oh yea, and win! If you can’t tell I am pretty darn competitive so this is perfect for me and it holds me and my friends accountable.
Probably one of my favorite things about the competitions is that after your opponent works out you get a notification and can reply with a message. Let me tell you, the people at Apple who create these pre-written messages are some shady people…haha.
