Yarn Stash Update
A few months ago I started this journey of using up my Yarn stash update number 2. You can read more about it here and I am excited to report on my progress!
I created this challenge for myself because I was ready to not be a hoarder and minimize my life and also make some cool stuff !
I wanted to go through some of my yarns, make some stuff and then buy a whole new stash and start over. Kidding ! I think this change will cause less clutter in my craft room and in my life. I am doing this in all aspects of my life and so far it’s going great!
I used a lot of yarn up for the craft fair that I was in. But, I still had some left that I was saving for other projects. This is what my yarn jar looks like now.
I KNOW! I have officially used up all my cotton yarns from We Are Knitters that I was given some time ago. I loved every aspect of working with this yarn and I will certainly be placing orders as I need it for upcoming projects.
Now, as a true yarn hoarder, this jar was not the only place that I held my yarn. I also had a 3-tier shelf that I used to hold some skeins, WIPs and other yarn balls. However, I went from having yarn on all 3 shelves to just 1! These yarns are my bigger acrylic skeins that I use more for teaching or making a colored afghan. I will finish using these yarns pretty soon actually because I have other craft fairs happening in the fall and winter. So excited !
Have you been cutting down on your yarn? Do you collect yarn for fun? Let me know !
